In Catalonia Hotels & Resorts we opened a new á la carte restaurant called “Yuca“, available now for our Resorts in the Dominican Republic, Catalonia Gran Dominicus and Catalonia Bavaro Beach, Golf & Casino.
The Yuca is one of the main foods in the Caribbean kitchen and is the most important crop since the early days of the Tainos Indians, main settlers of the Caribbean.
The Tainos legend tells that one day in a village the son of the tribe´s Chief died and was buried. According to the tradition, they digged up to unearth the remains and couldn´t find them. Instead, they found a large root, Yuca, which became the main food of the natives of the region.
This story serves as an inspiration to create this new restaurant in wich every detail has been taking care of, especially its cuisine, making a living representation of the Caribbean.

The most Dominican
Description: Incomparable Dominican stew made from beef, chicken, pork and tubers from the Dominican Republic.
The most Puerto Rican
Description: Made with fresh sauteed vegetables and wrapped in banana leaves. Accompanied by banana chips and spicy tomato sauce.

Description: Crispy baked chicken seasoned Jerk style with white rice and fried sweet plantains.

Description: Traditional Cuban beef stew with rice with black beans and avocado salad.
