We believe that a better world is equal to a better life, and we like to make our guests part of that vision.
A few weeks ago we celebrated the International Day for Recycling and working hand by hand with Responsible Ecotourism Foundation, held some activities to take care of the environment in Catalonia Bavaro Beach.
The Responsible Ecotourism Foundation is focused in the “Haiti Chiquito Project” a Bavarian community inhabited by low-income people who lack basic services such as good education programs.
Being in the need for resources and using their creativity, the people launched a recycling program seeking other sources of income. They’d come with the idea of creating picture frames from recycled materials to sell them to tourists.
As an eco-friendly Resort, we love to get involved in projects like this, cause as we’ve told you before, we care.
So to commemorate International Recycling Day, we invited our guests to make frames with sand and other recycled materials, such as magazine paper. Guests were able to help and make some donations and, of course, buy all kind of original handmade crafts help the people. Of course, we all had a great time creating and the feel of helping is always a great experience.
