It is normal that when visiting a destination, you have many doubts and questions, especially if it is your first time going there, that is why we have selected and answered some of the most frequent questions that surely will be helpful.

How is the climate in the Caribbean??
This is one of the most recurring questions that our future visitors ask us. You should take into account that the climate in these areas is very variable, it can go from warm to very hot throughout most of the year. The average temperature during the year is 27 °C and the humidity level is generally very high.
As in all of the Caribbean, it is possible that there will suddenly be rains, which usually are of short duration and are excellent for a moment of refreshment, so if in the report of the weather it appears that it will rain during your Visit, do not worry, it will surely be isolated rains and you will have lots of sun to enjoy.
It should be mentioned that the hurricane season for the Caribbean begins in July and ends in November, so we simply recommend that you follow the weather forecast updates just before you travel so that you are informed on the latest news.
Are there a lot of mosquitoes at the resort??
First of all, remember that we are in the Caribbean and insects are very common here. Part of the charm of our hotels is that they are located in open areas, surrounded by beautiful palm trees, trees and gardens, and although our cleaning staff fumes every day, it is normal to see mosquitoes, ants, among other wonderful animals within the hotel.
This is why we recommend that you travel with your insect repellent, it can be very useful. Did you forget it? Do not worry, you can also buy it in any of the stores in our resorts.

What kind of electric outlet is in the Caribbean??
If you visit us from another continent, we recommend you bring your own power adapter. Our hotels in Mexico and the Dominican Republic use the American plug type with 110 volts. If you do not have an adapter or forgot it, you can get it at any of the hotel’s stores.
¿What kind of currency can I pay with at the hotel??
For hotels in Mexico, you can pay in Mexican Pesos, Euros, Canadian Dollars and Pounds. (We do not accept US dollars in cash due to government regulations).
If you are going to visit our properties in the Dominican Republic, you can use any currency, although we suggest the American Dollars.
For both destinations, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. In all our resorts we have a money exchange house and an ATM for your comfort.

Is Topless allowed in Caribbean resorts?
Topless is only allowed in our adults only resorts: Catalonia Royal Bavaro in Punta Cana, Catalonia Royal La Romana in Bayahibe and Catalonia Royal Tulum in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Do you offer transportation from the airport?
We do not offer this service directly, so we recommend that our clients consult with their travel agency so they can find the one that best suits their needs. We can recommend this service.
What is the dress code in Catalonia Hotels & Resorts?
As we already mentioned, it is warm in the Caribbean all the year so it is important that you make sure to pack the right clothes for your trip to the Caribbean. Here are some tips for men and women.
In all our resorts we have a la carte Restaurants, they do have a dress code, which we detail below.
