The seven awards were distributed in very different categories, reaffirming the important work being done by the team of Catalonia Hotels & Resorts in all its departments.
The Territorial Directors of Mexico and the Dominican Republic in Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, Gonzalo Vera and Silvia Ortega respectively, agree that “we are very proud to have received these awards in such different aspects in the tourism business, our involvement with the environment, gastronomy or audiovisual and social marketing “. They also comment that “it is an honor for the chain to receive these awards from a publication such as Travel Weekly, as it is a benchmark in the travel industry because of its great coverage and impeccable professionalism”.

We created the EcoCat program, made up of members of the hotel’s operating and executive committee, responsible for maintaining sustainable policy and ensuring compliance, as well as efficiently managing company resources and being more competitive and sustainable in the long term.
We celebrate on important ecological dates such as Earth Hour, Earth Day, among others, where we remind guests and collaborators that the planet and its ecosystems not only give us life now but also to future generations.

We ask ourselves, how to communicate what distinguishes us as a hotel chain, with objectivity and reaching all the tourists who are looking for a vacation option in the Caribbean? The answer was easy: showing the world what we live day by day in our resorts and what the Catalonia experience really means.
Our greatest strength is what we call “The Catalonia Family”, made up of all those who collaborate in Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, adding also the opinions of our guests who recognize us year after year with their presence.
We worked together with an audiovisual production company that helped us translate into images the magic of staying at one of our resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, which resulted in this campaign that we named “Don’t Just Book Us, Live Us” and which shows each of the beautiful corners of Catalonia Hotels & Resorts in the Caribbean.

Catalonia Hotels & Resorts has seven resorts in the Caribbean that year after year are positioned better in the preference of their visitors, ensuring an unforgettable vacation.
For this reason, we have recognized the importance of showing the best photographs and videos of our resorts, spreading the wonderful context in which our properties, our gastronomic offer, rooms, activities and in general everything a guest can find during their stay.
In 2013 we launched our Instagram account and by 2015, with only 6,000 followers, Hosteltur.com positioned us in the top 5 Instagram accounts of Spanish hotel companies with the highest number of interactions per publication and 1st place in commitment percentage.
Currently, our Instagram account has more than 28,000 followers, coming mainly from the United States, Dominican Republic, Chile and Argentina.
